Privacy Policy
Short version: we collect very little, we use it to run the product, and we don't sell it. Ever.
What we collect
- Email address — when you join the waitlist, buy a membership, or ask for a sign-in link. Used to run your membership (sign-in links, receipts, trial reminders, a launch note if you're on the waitlist). Not used for marketing blasts, not shared, not sold.
- Payments — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we receive your email, plan, and subscription status.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 tells us page views and roughly where visitors come from, via cookies. It's how we learn what's worth building. You can block analytics cookies with any standard blocker and the site works fine.
- Browser storage — the map keeps small flags in your browser's localStorage (your pass/trial state, a sign-in token, one-time coachmarks). They stay on your device; clearing site data removes them.
- Email you send us — mail to any @goldfindr.app address is stored on our servers (auto-deleted after 90 days) and forwarded so we can answer you.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your data. To anyone.
- Share your email with third parties, other than the processors that run the product (Stripe for payments, AWS for hosting and email, Google for analytics).
- Track your location. The coordinates you look at on the map are your business.
Your choices and rights
Want your data deleted, exported, or just want to know what we have? Email tim@goldfindr.app and it's done — this covers your membership record, waitlist entry, and stored mail. California residents: this is also how you exercise your CCPA rights to know, delete, and opt out; we don't sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of. Cancelling a membership is self-serve via your billing portal (see the Terms); deleting data doesn't require cancelling first, but a live membership needs your email to function.
Changes
If this policy materially changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
